Mary Lois Madigan, age 94, passed away on July 7, 2024. She was born July 6, 1930 in East Detroit, Michigan to her late parents Joseph and Gertrude Dunnigan. Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years, Raymond. She is survived by her loving children: Susan (Thomas) Doil, James (Patty) Madigan, Kathy Ann (Martin) Jacobs, Michael (Elsie) Madigan, Pamela Madigan; 17 dear grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; brother: Franklin (Betty) Dunnigan; and sister-in-law: Marise Dunnigan. Also left to cherish her memory are many loving nieces and nephews. Mary was also preceded in death by her infant daughter Mary Sharon and siblings: Irene (Joseph) Siklich, Kenneth (Betty) Dunnigan, Edsel Dunnigan, and Austin (Patricia) Dunnigan. Mary was a member of the Daughters of Isabella. She was a fun and loving grandmother that enjoyed coffee, going shopping, and getting together with her family. Mary was also great at crocheting and sewing. She was very strong in her Catholic faith and prayed the rosary daily. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Capuchins or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
