Mary graduated from Osborn High School and later attended Western Michigan University. She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English - an achievement and a passion for correct grammar, sentence structure, paragraph and story development that she carried throughout her life. After graduating from WSU Mary worked at Michigan Bell and Ameritech before retiring. In retirement, she dedicated her time to travel, golf and creating art in watercolor, charcoal, and pencil media. And of course, the endless pursuit and enforcement of Proper Grammar.
Mary was the loving and cherished sister to Anna (the late Ken) Kraft and the constant companion and longtime friend of Nancy Grebe. She was a loving aunt to Michael (Lori) Kraft, Ken (Lena) Kraft, Paul Kraft, and David (Kelli) Kraft; a great aunt to Robert Kraft, Amy (Brett) Dolecki, Alek Kraft, Wes Kraft, Theresa Kraft, Colin Kraft, and Patrick Kraft; and a great great-aunt to Ada Dolecki. Mary will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
In her personal life, Mary was a true artist who found joy in creativity and beauty. She loved to travel. Her humor - quick, bright, and unmistakably her own - brought warmth to the people fortunate enough to share in it. Beneath that wit was a kind heart and a deeply cherished presence, offered with generosity and care.
