I met Matt through our friend Peter. He was always so energetic and full of life. There was never a dull moment around him and he always lit up the room when he walked in. I didn't hang with him as much as a lot of other people have but he was always so welcoming and a great guy to be around. He will be greatly missed. 

So sorry for your loss of Matt  you both are in my thoughts and prayers.

Matt was such an uplifting person to be around. When I met him through Andy what feels like forever ago I remember him always laughing, goofing off, and radiating happiness. So that’s how I will remember him. He was always so welcoming, and you couldn’t help but smile when being around Matt. He will definitely be missed. 

Matthew was one of the nicest most funniest people I have ever been introduced to. 
He made me laugh, alot. It wasnt just a normal Haha most friends had. He was silly, okay. And it was funny!! The things he said, the accents he talked in all the time.... Haha

I just talked to Matthew 2 days prior to this tradgity. We had plans, and I open my phone to only read a message I wish was never typed. And it was all a dream.
I've thought about Matthew now everyday since the 23rd. 
I honestly can say hes going to be one active bright spirit!! Powerful one! I love you matt.

Matt not only had the best humor! He also had the best hair ❤ 
I would steal my moms bleach so he would have the latest and greatest “dyke spike”hair. Neither of us knew what the hell we were doing but it always seemed to come out looking amazing. 

We spend our weekends hanging with the best group of friends. Making lots of amazing memories. 

After our teenage love fizzled out.. Years later Matt, always made it a point to ask how I was doing. Being a mom of 3 boys he always reassured me that I was a bad ass just like his Mom! 

His way of making everyone laugh until they cry will never be forgotten!

He suprized me at my graduation party and we had a good time tossing around a frisbee. I always wanted to be like him when I was little he was so effortlessly cool and funny.  I hope that I absorbed some of his personality.   Love and miss you Matt.  -your cousin Zane

Wow Matt! I met you in high school and you were a burst of Personality. I always called you by your last name because it was so whimsical. You always had something creative or funny to say and you knew how to make someone laugh. I’m saddened to learn of your passing but you are at peace... 

I met Matthew at a show called Love at First Sight and that’s exactly what it was. We spent the best of two years together- making memories, sharing experiences and most of all laughing and having fun. He was always the life and light of anywhere he was. He was always going out of his way to bring joy to everyone. He would ALWAYS have something for me; a bracelet, something he made, something he found, anything he thought would put a smile on my face. 
He had so many talents; art, comedy, theater. He was the silliest, goofiest, fun loving and down to do anything spirt. 
We parted ways several years ago but we never lost touch- I can still hear the music he would jam out to in his room 

My first memory of Matthew was many years ago .  His mom (Jen) wanted me to meet her brother (Matt's uncle Steve).  I think Matthew was maybe 3 years old him and his brother Nick would run through the house and slap my legs and giggle. I swear I can still hear him laughing. I am happy to say that I was lucky enough to become his aunt Shannon. It was so fun watching him grow through the years   I will miss him so much especially when the family gets together, he was just so magical. Love you Matthew. Aunt Shannon



The very first time I met Matthew, right away I liked him. Though he tried to not talk a lot to new family , he could not help himself to inject a few witty, challenging and satire like comments into my conversation.  He had a sparkle in his eye and a very sly smile.  I thought he is intelligent , artistic and just adorable.   I’m am very blessed to have known such a complex young man for the short time that was allowed.  I will miss you Matt.   Be free now and get your wings.

There is so many memories I don’t know where to start. Our deep conversations of life were my favorite. Dally in the alley I’ll remember forever dancing the night away. You left us way to soon Matt 

I never forget playing Mario Bros with him the kids laughed so hard cause I was crashing into everything it was obvious I couldn’t play....to fun
