Mildred Ryckman-Rathka

Mildred Ryckman-Rathka, age 92, died May 10, 2015. Beloved wife of Eugene Rathka. Loving mother of Rev. Ronald (Wahneeta) Ryckman, Gerald (Judy) Ryckman, and Timothy Ryckman. Dearest grandmother of Amy Cappelmann, Todd (Margie) Ryckman, Jennifer (Matthew) Johnson, Jonathan (Danielle) Ryckman, Samantha (Robert) Leach, Kayla (Daniel) Barrios, Carley Ryckman, and Jesse Ryckman. Great-grandmother of 12. Mildred was predeceased by her first husband Gerald Owen Ryckman, her children Jon Ryckman and Randy Ryckman and her grandson Stephen Ryckman. Mildred was a caring and dedicated counselor and teacher for the East Detroit School district for over 21 yrs. She is remembered fondly by a great many Oakwood and East Detroit High School students and peers. Mildred was also a devoted member of Bethel Lutheran Church serving her church for almost 60 yrs. A memorial service will take place Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 11 am (Instate at 9:30 am) at Bethel Lutheran Church, 26400 Little Mack Ave, St Clair Shores. Memorial contributions to the church would be appreciated.
