
Monique Claude Churchill (nee Borloz), age 65, was born in Lausanne, Switzerland on June 15, 1949 to Pierre and Line Borloz, who both proceed her in death. She is survived by her Swiss and American friends and family; Michelle & Roby Pinard, Bernard Borloz, Gene & Dawn Churchill, Shirley Churchill, Dianna Richards, Patrick Pinard, Phillip Churchill, Jr., Christian Pinard, Clay Churchill and Layne Churchill. Monique graduated from the University of Lausanne in 1969 and moved to the United States in 1970. While attending the University of Lausanne, Monique met and married Paul C. Churchill. Together, Paul and Monique celebrated almost 30 years of love and friendship until Paul's untimely death in 1999. Throughout the course of Paul & Monique's partnership, they achieved great professional success at Wayne State University in the Department of Physiology in the areas of Nephrology and other kidney related sciences. Monique was an avid photographer and a gourmet cook. Monique's French cooking was always the highlight of any meal for every guest. Monique loved music, especially Jazz, and was a prominent photographer at many jazz events. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Society of Macomb County at www.humanesocietyofmacomb.org in memory of Monique and her beloved African Grey Parrot, Buddy. Memorial service will be held at a later date.
