

Philomena L. Bissonnette, age 84, passed away peacefully July 9th, 2012. She was an active member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, a Servants of Mary associate and a former Eucharistic minister at her church. Philomena was born on August 14, 1927 in Royal Oak to Joseph Webber and Kathleen Dean. She proudly served as a radio operator in the U.S. Navy prior to the Korean conflict. She pursued a life of faith and service working with Heartline Lutheran Social Services of Detroit. She retired from Chrysler Corporation after many years of dedicated service. Phyllis was a person of great faith, generosity and integrity who earned the admiration of all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was the beloved wife of the late Edison. Loving mother of Michael (Marie), Susan (Shawn) Whelan, Renee (Kenneth Bond) Randall, the late Sally Chapa, and Jeff (Fiance Candice VanderHagen). Dear friend of her caregiver Shirley Whelan. Loving grandmother of 9 and great grandmother of 2. She was pre-deceased by her grandson Joshua Chapa. The family will receive friends Friday 2-9 pm with prayers at 7 pm at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson, St. Clair Shores. Instate, Saturday 9:30 am until time of Mass at 10 am at Our Lady of Hope, St. Germaine Campus, 28301 Little Mack, St. Clair Shores.
