Phyllis Joanne Strother

Phyllis Joanne Strother, age 88, passed away on November 14, 2025. She was born on January 25, 1937 in Portsmouth, Ohio to her parents Gilbert and Louise Shively. Joanne was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bob Strother, son Keith Strother, sister Sarah Litchfield, and daughter-in-law Dawn. She is survived by her loving children: Steve (Theresa) Strother, Dave (Connie) Strother, Michelle Kosal; daughter-in-law: Denise; caring grandchildren: Bob (Katie), Bill (Satrina), Keith, Kevin, Nate (Julie), Rebecca (Alex), Kirstie (Paul), Stephanie, Zach (Emily), Kyle; dear great-grandchildren: Mark, Kiara, Kassidy, Maggie, Austin, Emily, Ashton, Sophia, Abigail, Matthew; and sister: Rosemary Riggs. Joanne was a member of the St. Clair Shores Optimist Club. She enjoyed golfing, vacationing and spending time with her family, and going to a multitude of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren’s sporting events. In lieu of flowers, donations may be to Hospice of Michigan or the St. Clair Shores Optimist Club. Visitation, Friday, November 21, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 4:30 p.m. at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores.
