Ralph McKian, age 94, passed away on February 5, 2026. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 17, 1931 to his late parents Ralph and Lillian McKian. Ralph was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Lou. He is survived by his daughter: Nicole (Joseph) Darling; and grandsons: Alexander (Abigial) Darling and Brian Darling. Ralph was also preceded in death by his siblings: Robert, Earl, and Ruth.
Ralph enjoyed boating and fishing with his Big Lake friends. He also enjoyed going to the casino and traveling with Lou. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Ralph began his career as an elevator journeyman going into the family business and eventually became the President and co-owner of Detroit Elevator.
