Dear Kim,   I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your father, I only had the pleasure of meeting him once during your high school graduation party  many years ago. Your father told me then how much he loved you and was proud of you.

Bro Richard was a gentle kind man that was not only a brother in church but a family friend.  I remember the visits with my parents and everyone sitting around the table talking.   You have all been in my prayers.

Richard was an amazing man he was a brother & friend.  I spent many hours with him traveling to Harrison talking about God and his many blessings.  I miss him and Harrison will him also. also.

Uncle Rick was the kindest man. We will miss him so much.

A fun memory l have is when your Dad, Mom, Tim & l went up north for the weekend. We had made reservations at a motel and when we got there we were stunned by the nastiness of our rooms. We were all trying to be positive and make it out to be okay. Tim & l knocked on your parents door and told them we had decided to go to another motel. Your parents grabbed their stuff and said “Us, too!” We didn’t have the heart to get our money back. We just headed to the other motel. It was SO nice! Your parents came to our room before we went to dinner. When we looked at each other, we all bust out laughing! We got to giggling so bad we were crying. 
Just a fun time l will always remember.

Dave and I are so sorry for the loss of your dad. He was loved and respected by so many. I am so glad you called me and we were able to lean on each other as I had suffered another loss just 2 days before. It’s so hard to lose our parents. But at least we know when we accept Christ as our personal savior it is the assurance that we will see them again some day. We have list so many in our family hopefully they are all rejoicing together. Remember you have many people to lean on. I love you and want you to know you can call me anytime. ❤️

Kim, growing up on Recreation was the best.  We were all like family.  So many fond memories. Your dad will be missed by me and so many.  My deepest sympathies to you.  

Loffredo family;  Im so sorry for your loss. Rick was a wonderful man.   Such  a great loss to everyone who knew him.

If I had only one word to describe Richard, it would have to be 'kind'.  However, it is a good thing that I am not limited to just one word.  

Richard was a caring, compassionate, generous, and yes, very kind man who could be counted on to  visit when someone was sick, say a prayer, and bring comfort when it was most needed.

He was so generous with his time and would offer rides to restaurants and outings so that others would be able to participate, rather than missing out.

I will always be grateful to Richard for the comfort that he brought to my Mom and Dad.  He and Aunt Mary Ellen were constant fixtures at the hospital and nursing homes during their illnesses, and were so supportive of we 'McGee' girls.  

God Bless you, Richard.  Your life was a blessing to all who knew you.

Richard, it was recently said to me that a successful relationship in the end is one where there is nothing left to be said. I believe that you created this relationship with everyone. God gave you a gift and that was the gift of words. You and Kim despite the loss you both had experienced in life came along and truly made our family whole. You made my beautiful grandmother smile. You honored the person she was and encouraged her. You cheered us all on with love and guidance and taught us to be more selfless. You healed us all in places we didn’t know were broken. Thank you for the gift of your daughter . We will take care of her with everything we’ve got while we are all on this earth until she sees you again. Thank you for loving us. You will be missed. 

Dad, you were an exceptional inspiration to all.  You were a great husband, father, brother, son, uncle, and friend.   You will be missed by many people as you touched many lives.  I believe I will miss you the most.  Since you were my best friend, my Dad, my comforter, my protector, and my brother in Christ.  You were always there for me without question or criticism.  I love you with all my heart and soul, and will see you again someday.   I already miss our laughs, and fun we had just watching a movie.  I love you Dad, I hope you are rejoicing with the angels, and Mom, Mark, and your whole family.  Rest in peace, I will see you on the other side.

Richard was an Uncle to us and he was always so wonderful, gracious and generous to our family and especially to our parents, Frank  & Eva McGee.  When they were so ill,  Uncle Richard's prayers were so comforting to all of us.  We hope that our prayers from around the country helped him during his last illness.

We loved Uncle Richard very much and know he is now with the Lord who welcomed him saying, "Well done, my good and faithful servant.  Come  and share in your Master's joy."

Words can’t describe how shocking this has been.  I am so very, very sorry to be writing this.  Like my other cousin Mary Ann mentioned, he was like an Uncle to us!  Both Richard and my Aunt Mary Ellen were by my father’s side constantly, comforting him, praying with him and comforting us as well.  Sadly, that was only a few short months ago, just earlier this year.  He also was there for my Mother as well when she was so ill in 2014   Both actions meant so much to me, to us and to our Family.  May God bless you and comfort you as you have done for others!

My heart is heavy! And even though I know he’s in God’s arms, we here in this life, are left with a gap! Richard was like an Uncle to me!  And most importantly, was always there for my ailing mom! Whenever my mother was hospitalized, he and my Aunt MaryEllen unceasingly came to pray for her and anoint her with Holy oil.  What a comfort!!   Such a Sweet, Godly, loving man!  He will be missed!  He was Family!!  He was Loved!!

I didn’t see Richard but a few times a year but always enjoyed talking to him at parties. Always a joy to talk with and usually a few laughs. A true gentleman. He will be missed.

I don't even know where to start.   This amazing man was like a father to me and my siblings.   He was such a blessing to our family.   He was the voice of reason, and the calm cool collected one who you could go to for advice in any situation.  You could always count on him for a smile and a corny joke.  Actually, the jokes were quite funny when he was telling them!   His faith was unwavering.  He filled in as patriarch of our family and with God in his heart, always lead the prayer before a meal.   He was also an incredible father, husband, uncle, friend, and I'm sure there's more.   I know he probably didn't want to leave all of us, but I'm sure he has found amazing peace and restfulness now that he is home.

Richard is also survived by many great-grandchildren, and his close friend, Mary Ellen Swaha and her family. Also left to cherish his memory are many loving nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth, son Mark, and siblings: Rocky, Robert, Lillian Stank, and Josephine McKinnon.
