Richard Bernard Moore

Richard Bernard Moore, age 86, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026.

He was born in Mt. Clemens, Michigan on August 30, 1939 to Bernard and Esther (Johnson) Moore.

Richard used his creativity and innovative skills to launch Ankara Industries, Inc. out of his garage in 1971, a business he remained actively involved with throughout his later years.

He loved anything involving sport cars, playing his many instruments while listening to his favorite artists, going to live jazz performances, going out eat with friends, and a good joke.

Richard was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary Sue. He is survived by his loving children Christopher Moore (Chikako Miyoshi), Richard E. (Heidi Gunderson) Moore, and Melissa Moore (Mike Latulippe), and his dear grandchildren Markus, Helena, and Henrik. Also survived by his loving siblings Dennis (Maryann) Moore, and Lynn Moore.

Visitation on Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores, MI 48081.
