Robert Carl Girard Jr.

Robert Carl Girard Jr., age 76, passed away on June 19, 2026. He was born on March 1, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan to his late parents Robert and Kathleen Girard. Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Joan; loving children: John (Carol), Renee (Christopher) Burgess, Robert Girard III, Julie (Daniel) Skielnik; dear grandchildren: John, Alex, Bret, Ian, Hadley, Elodie, Celine, Auden, Chloe, Harrison; and caring siblings: Nora Stringer, Mark (Michelle), and Daniel. Robert was also preceded in death by his sisters, Joyce and Annette Olson. Robert loved fishing and sitting outside by the fire with a beer. He also enjoyed playing games with his grandchildren. Robert was a United States Army Veteran and received a National Defense Service Medal. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Visitation, Thursday, June 25, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a memory sharing service at 6:30 p.m. at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores.
