My thoughts and prayers go out to Sherry's family at this time of sorrow and mourning.  She was a very valuable member of our French Canadian Heritage Society of Michigan through which I learned that Sherry and I were distant cousins.  She and I would have avid, friendly discussions as I checked in with her at the welcome table at the start of our society's meetings.  She will be sorely missed by all.  The Lord grant her eternal love, rest and peace.

Sherry was a thoughtful person.  She was always willing to help out wherever needed.  She was an important member of the French-Canadian Society of Michigan and her presence is going to be missed.  We all have fond memories of Sherry.

Sorry to learn of the passing of Sherry.Though I realize it's grossly inadequate, I want to offer sincere condolences from my family to all of her family. That sweet lady who always brightened the activities of our French Canadian Heritage Society of Michigan with her warm and friendly presence and her helpful contributions will be sorely missed.

I and my colleagues in the French-Canadian Heritage Society of Michigan will dearly miss our friend, Sherry Rushing Somerset, daughter of Charles Rushing and Barbara Beauregard Rushing.  Sherry was a valued member of our Society, always cheerful and willing to help in any way she could.  Sherry and I shared French-Canadian ancestors through her mother and my grandmother; but, more importantly, we shared a wonderful friendship.   I send condolences to her husband and son, her family and friends.  I will never forget Sherry.  Love and prayers from
