Shirley Ruth Bittner

Shirley was active with Friends of the Library in St. Clair Shores, often helping with Book Sales. She also volunteered to work the polls during elections. Mr. and Mrs. Bittner were active in the Macomb County School Boards Association and will be missed for their contributions and their support of public education.

She married Stanley Joseph Bittner, and he preceded her in death on October 3, 2011. Survivors include her children, Shirleen VanCleave, Suzanne (William) Bittner-Korbus, Stacey (David Liddy) Bittner; grandchildren, Mark, Daniel; and a brother, Gary Kulakowski. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Dave VanCleave.

Visitation for Shirley will be Thursday, July 6, from 5-9pm at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave, St. Clair Shores, MI 48081. Visitation will be Friday, July 7, from 3-9pm at Kaul Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 8, at 10:30am at Kaul Funeral Home. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township.
