Shirley Mae Carpenter

Shirley Mae Carpenter, age 94, passed away on December 29, 2021. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 26, 1927 to her dear parents Frank and Ruby Probst. Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Earl Carpenter. She is survived by her loving children: Dennis Carpenter, Susan (John) Welchko; dear grandchildren: Dawn (Michael) Bettcher, Dennis Carpenter II, Shaun (Kelly) Welchko, Ryan Welchko; and great-grandchildren: Brandon (Taylor), Diana, Alyssa, Julia, Katelyn, and Conner. Shirley was a very active longtime member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and was a member of the Ladies Guild. She was also a member of the PFC Ladies Club and the Ladies Auxiliary at the VFW Bruce Post 1146. Most of all Shirley was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church in her honor. Private family services will be held.
