Stephanie Anne Tarrant, 59, of Grosse Pointe Park, passed away on September 16, 2018 in Detroit, MI.
Stephanie was born in Detroit, MI to James Thomas and June Rosella Fetter on February 5th, 1959. She went to school at John Glenn High School in Westland, Michigan. She married David Tarrant on July 17, 1983 at Lake Tahoe. She attended Northwood University in Midland, MI. For a time, she worked as a Keyliner in her Father’s commercial art studio. She left the studio to pursue her greatest passion, motherhood. She later returned to work, and after a few different jobs she settled into a career in photography. Her experience in her fathers’ art studio served her well, as she had a wonderful eye for composition. She enjoyed her work, even as the industry evolved with the digital revolution. The interactions with people, and helping people look their very best on joyous days, brought her great joy. She used her sense of humor and engaging personality to bring out peoples’ best selves in their photographs commemorating their special occasions. She did this work, until her health forced her into an early retirement. She then focused her energy on spending time with those she loved best, her family and dearest friends.
Stephanie is preceded in death by her mother June and survived by her son Stephan and his wife Diana, her bothers Roger and Robert, her father James, her grandson Matthew and her granddaughter Katherine Anne.
