Terry Scott McGregor

Terry Scott McGregor, age 61, passed away on July 6, 2026. Born on November 5, 1964, in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, Terry was the cherished son of the late Daniel and Beverly McGregor. Terry is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Catherine; loving daughter Lori (Joe) McCain; his cherished grandchildren Brooklyn and Scarlet; dear siblings, Dennis (Terri), Linda (Jim) Wietecha, Deborah (the late Joe) Cotey; and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving son Jimmy. A proud veteran, Terry served in the United States Coast Guard for 20 years, where his deep connection to the water first took root. In the years that followed, his happiest moments were spent on Lake St. Clair, captaining his boat and sharing his passion with the family and friends he loved so dearly. While the open water held a special place in his heart, nothing compared to the fierce love he had for his family—most notably, his cherished granddaughters. Terry was their biggest fan, their gentlest protector, and a source of endless laughter. He wore the title of "Pa" as a badge of absolute honor, and the memories of his playful spirit, patient guidance, and proud smiles will stay with them forever. Visitation, Monday, July 13, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 7:00 p.m. at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave., St Clair Shores.
