Thaddeus (Ted) Michael Salkowski, age 96, passed away on August 17, 2026. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 9, 1930 to his late parents Edwin and Catherine Salkowski. Ted was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Janine, dear son, Steven, and Ted’s seven siblings. He is survived by his loving children: Tom (Mary), Diane Tilton, Nancy (Tom) MacDonald, Jim, Dan (Alicia), David; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Ted was a United States Army Veteran. He was a devoted Catholic and lived by the example set by Joseph the Carpenter as a husband and father. A friend to all, he had a huge heart and an ever-present smile. The last of his greatest generation, Ted will be sorely missed by all who know him for his innocent wisecracks and boundless optimism.
