Corky and i didn't spend much time together, i was at his house twice for a few weeks as a guest and he treated me as a member of his family, letting me do what i wanted and never making me feel uncomfortable. This was corky, his house was your house, and whatever you needed, no problem, if you respected him, he was 110% available. He was very able to understand people, to filter them and catch every detail. He was a deep man, we had some private good conversations and i learnt the lesson. He didn't use to talk a lot but just a little words were enough to make me understand. Maybe it happened just with me, i don't know, i like to think that we had a good natural connection. I will never forget the American breakfast we had up-north in a camping place he took me to, as it was our last time together, and it was fun, just the two of us. Summer 2015
He was slow, probably because of his health problems, but i liked that, in a world that runs runs runs, he instead took his time, why not! Where do we all have to run to?

So sorry to learn of Corky's passing.  My thoughts and prayers go to his family and loved ones...God Speed my high school friend!  Looks like you were blessed with loving family and friends.

Sorry to hear of Corkys passing. As a kid growing up right down the street hearing the janitor fire up and watching sidrock chase him down the road were some of the great memories I have . Later in life my father and I riding dirt bikes with him and he really did some nice motor work for me. Corky was definitely someone you don't forget.

Last week I was just remembering all the drag racing days of the "Janitor" because I talked with him at the New Haven Coney Island.

OH my so sorry to hear this. I bought a lawn mower motor from Corky and built a go cart in Spring 1959, it was fun until the cops followed me home and told my dad the cart had to go. Bill Benenati from Taylor elementary school and Evergreen Court
