Thomas Nanos went home with our Lord and Savior June 18, 2022 while holding hands with the love of his life, his wife, Patricia. He is survived and loved by Patricia and their children, Deborah (Brian) Huffman, Nicholas (Toni) Nanos, Cathy (John) O'Neill; grandchildren, Allison (Jon) Schemer, Michelle (Justin) Defer, Katherine Huffman, Lauren (Jason) Nash, Ricky (Melissa) Rassey, Thomas Nanos; seven beautiful great grandchildren; and many friends and family members. With him in heaven are his parents Victoria and Nicholas Nanos, siblings Elias, Anastasios, Vasilios, and Alexandria Christy, and his granddaughter Julia Huffman.
Tom was a great husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He met his wife Patti (Patsy μου) at Eastern High School in Detroit and they were married in 1956. Tom joined Fruehauf Finance Company and became Executive Vice President and at the end of his career he became President of Sales and Marketing.
Tom was a lifelong member of the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church where he served his parish as a member of the Parish Council for several years. Tom led many important financial movements that made a difference in the future of the parish. He also endeared many of the Council members and parishioners as lifelong friends.
Tom and Patti traveled the world, while always placing family first. There is no place Tom would rather be than with his family. May his memory be eternal.
