Vicki was loved by all who knew her. Her commitment to family and friends, sense of humor, and contagious positive energy will always be remembered. She lived for her daughters, her family, and her friends.
Vicki was born to Laila and the late Joseph Abud on August 23, 1961. She was raised in East Detroit and Grosse Pointe with her brothers V. Rev. Father Joseph Abud and Tom Abud. She graduated from Grosse Pointe North High School in 1979, before attending Western Michigan University where she earned her degree in elementary education. She was a beloved teacher for over 25 years in East Detroit Public schools, influencing the lives of hundreds of students and their families.
Vicki is survived by her beloved daughters Denye and Kara. They were her light and joy and she loved being a mother. She has always been proud of the women that Denye and Kara have become. They enjoyed many adventures including the cross country trip to be in the audience of the Ellen DeGeneres Show. She was also a proud aunt of Nicholas, John and Joanna.
Vicki is also survived by her devoted and dedicated cousins Dr. Thomas Shehab and Michael Shehab as well as her “sister” Denise Haggerty.
