I taught in the same school when he was in charge of special education classes. He did a lot with his students by getting them involved with growing plants and sharing with the community. He was a very positive and giving spirit. He will be missed and remembered fondly.

Bill and Lois were some of the nicest people I ever met. Could not find nicer people Bill and I were in Shorewood Kiwanis for many years. Heaven is a better place with Bill and Lois there. May you Rest In Peace Bill.

I enjoyed Bill as our Director of Special Education. He was a thoughtful, helpful man who supported his staff as we serviced the children/students of Lakeview Public Schools. I am glad I took the time to spend time with Bill at his new apartment on Jefferson Avenue this past fall. We spoke about Evelyn Myers and Irene Novak, our two wonderful secretaries at the time....We brought up memories and stories from the 1970's. It was a wonderful visit. God Bless the Pellegrino family. May the peace, which passes all understanding, keep our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Amen, Amen

My brother, sisters and I had the great honor of being a student of Mr. Pellegrino. The forty plus years that followed my days in grade school was a wonderful journey of friendship. Every time Mr. Pellegrino walked by our family home on Joan street on his way to school he would ask my mother how each of us kids were. Later in life, we often saw each other at City events and he always greeted me with his priceless smile and firm handshake . Thank you for your guidance, friendship and love. Tom Brokaw said it best in his book "You are the Greatest Generation." Until we meet again, may you rest in peace, Grand Marshall. With love and friendship, Paul Doppke
