Wilbur Lloyd Nelson, age 88, a longtime resident of St. Clair Shores, died on October 28, 2015. He was born on November 15, 1926 in Detroit and was a Navy Veteran of WWII, a member of the Bruce Post #1146 VFW and was employed as a carpenter. He was preceded in death by his wife Doris. Surviving are his children Patricia (John) Krause, Lloyd (Debra) Nelson. Diane (Rocky) Leal, Joe (Pat) Haines and Joanne (The late Dan) Oharold. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29th 3-9pm followed by a funeral service 11am Friday, October 30th at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Avenue, St. Clair Shores. Inurnment will follow at a later date at Cadillac Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Clinton Township. Memorials honoring the memory of Mr. Nelson may be directed to the Bruce Post VFW Ritual Team.
