Gregory John Pope

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gregory John Pope, after a short illness at LaSalle Hospital, on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at the age of 64. Gregory was predeceased by his parents John and Louise (Conrath) Pope. Beloved brother of Diane (Bruce) Coley, Karen (Clifton) Nish and Christine (Kevin Kilpatrick) Nigelsky, (late Norman Nigelsky), and uncle of Jayson, Adam, Clyde, Benjamin, Tamara, Trevor and Jarvis and great uncle of their children. Greg the youngest child and only son of John and Louise, will now forever be united with his parents. Greg will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew and cared for him.

As a child, growing up in Laval West, Greg enjoyed being in the outdoors playing with his friends. The outdoors continued to be a source of pleasure throughout his life. He spent many hours walking and exploring the scenic waterfront neighbourhood of Verdun where he resided. Greg cherished the visits from family, which included trips to local restaurants for a special meal and chatting while sitting on a park bench overlooking the water.

Donations to the Douglas Foundation can be made in Gregory’s memory.

Due to the current situation, no service will be held. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
