

Edward Roger Huijon unexpectedly passed away on April 29, 2012. Eddie was born in Pittsburg, California on September 18, 1953 to Rogelio and Celia Huijon. He attended St. Helena Elementary and Robert Louis Stevenson Middle School. Eddie received a full ride scholarship to Justin Sienna High School and graduated with honors in 1972. He enjoyed many years in Fort Bragg as a commercial fisherman and later was a highly sought after math tutor for Napa Valley College. Ed is survived by his mother, Celia Huijon; siblings Bob, Delia, and Mara; nephews Rigo, Alex, Danny and Anthony; nieces Alissa and Suzie; grandnephew Aydin; grandniece Kaia and his uncle Ismael Huijon. Edward’s father passed away in 1964.
Eddie enjoyed playing baseball throughout his life, won many trophies playing competition darts, and was a diehard San Francisco Giants and 49er fan.
A celebration of Eddie’s life will be held on May 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Helena Catholic Church. A grave side ceremony will be held immediately following the service.
