

Gerald Tadashi Tamura, better known as “Jerry,” passed away in St. Helena, California on March 31, 2014. He was 76. Jerry was born and raised in Lihue, Kauai. He had a B.S. in Accounting and worked at Pacific Union College before retiring. Jerry enjoyed visiting friends and family all over the country. Among other things, he loved fishing, hiking, skiing and traveling with his beloved dog Braddah. Jerry lived life to the fullest – he always said that when he died, no one could ever say he did not live well.
Jerry is preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Satsuki Tamura (née Nagao) and his wife of 44 years Lucille Chisato Tamura (née Sasaki).
He is survived by his children, Cary Kimo Tamura of Carmel, CA, and Robyn Shizue Tamura of New York, NY; son and daughter-in-law Jeffrey Francis Magee and Angela Lee Tamura; his sister Arlene Kimiko Heck, his grandchildren, Maya Sachiko Tamura and Lucas Clement Tadashi Tamura, Lucy Tamura Magee, his Mija Brenda Renee White and many, many close friends and relatives.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in Carmel, CA and Honolulu, Hawaii.
