Richard Dal Porto

Our beloved friend, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Richard DalPorto passed away at home on July 26th, 2012 at the age of 78. Richard was born in St. Helena, Ca, September 3rd, 1933. He graduated St Helena High School in 1952 and served in the U. S. Army from 1953-1955. He met the love of his life, Velta, and married her November 29, 1957. He worked for Charles Krug Winery for 38 years and retired in 1994. He enjoyed his later years fishing, camping and gardening. He was a member of Thousand Trails and volunteered for Meals on Wheels.

He is predeceased by his beautiful wife, Velta in 1996. He is survived by his sister, Ann Decker of Los Angeles, California, three children, Madge Matthews of Rio Dell, California, Annette Hardman of Redmond, Oregon, and Rick DalPorto of Calistoga, 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Services to be held on August 20th, 2012, at 11:00 am, at Calistoga Community Presbyterian Church.
