George Daigle

December 12, 1959June 6, 2019

Passed away peacefully on the evening of Thursday June 6, 2019 surrounded by his siblings at the age of 59.

George was born December 12, 1959 in Montreal Qc and was a man that loved nature, his pets and lived a simple life enriched by his friends. He recently returned to his home town area to start a new path after encountering a crossroad. He was creative and spontaneous. Forever a lover of the sun he would spend hours peddling his bike to various green spaces. He was a jack of all trades and a master of drum rifts. George was very much like this description of a drummer: “one of the guys way in the back, behind all that stuff, giving music its spine and drive, its cohesion and contour and a huge chunk of its personality, often without getting the credit they deserve.” A good drummer can play stuff he doesn't "know", stuff he's never heard before, even, and make it groove. You could tell that drumming was his life.

He is survived by his two sisters, Lucy Daigle and Elizabeth Daigle and two brothers, Kenneth Daigle and Webster Daigle and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Barn, I never got to thank you for all the years you spent driving us to and from parties, making sure we always got home safe. The exploding sandwiches you would make us for breakfast after a night out. I miss your laugh and all your silly antics. I miss listening to you beat those drums to “Black Betty”. I wish I would have got to see you one last time before you left this world. Please give the puppies hugs and kisses from me and tell Precious I love her! Rest In Peace.

you came to us beaten and bruised and together we walked a new path to success and independence. I am very proud of all that you accomplished George. You beat the odds sent against you and surpassed all the negative challenges you encountered in recent years. A new spirit was gained and it has made me very sad that you have left us so soon. May you find peace and love in heaven and remember those that love you here.
Love Laura
