Gerald (Gerry) James Emery

Gerry was born in Montreal and lived there his entire life. He had a great passion for trains, cats, his beloved Montreal Canadiens, and all things hockey. His happy and friendly disposition made him very likable ensuring many close bonds throughout his life.

He was predeceased by his father Arthur and his mother Anne (nee Gillis).

He will be lovingly remembered by his Montreal and Ottawa cousins Mary (John), Neil (Sylvia), and Margaret and their families as well as his cousins in Boston and many friends in Montreal.

A private service will be held at the family’s request.

The family wishes to send their sincere thanks to the staff at L’intégrale for the wonderful long-term support that Gerry received throughout his life with a very special thank you to Paul Cardinal for caring for Gerry so well over the years and providing him with a very happy home. Thanks also to the staff at the Centre d'hébergement de Saint-Henri for their recent care and support and for walking the extra mile on Gerry’s behalf. Lastly many thanks to the nursing staff and doctors at the Royal Victoria hospital emergency ward for their competent and compassionate care in Gerry’s final days.
