I worked with Joey the last three years at Reach and I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to work with him.  Joey was a sweetheart and I was saddened by his passing.  Our long walks singing all of his favorite songs, doing art and puzzles together and the happiness he exuded when participating in school activities.  I will always remember you Joey!

Joey! I am forever grateful for the privilege of getting to know you at REACH. You’ve made me grow as a person and made me evolve as a special educator technician. Countless times you’ve asked me to sing “Twinkle Twinkle”. How fitting it is, you are now one of them shinning down on us. Thanks again Joey, you will be missed, be well. I had the pleasure of working with Joey for just over three years.
Joey's deep chuckle and the way he would light up to see
a truck or to play with the big red ball  are among the many memories  I will always cherish .Every walk there would be songs, every swim was his pleasure. Affectionate and 
patient, Joey had a gentle strength of presence that touched many lives.
He will be missed.

I worked with Joey at REACH for 4 years.  He always put a smile on my face.  He was my big teddy bear.  I remember walking the school yard and singing songs all lunch hour.  I also loved swimming with him as well.  He loved it!!! He always had a special place in my heart.  He will be missed by many.  😥❤

My memories of Joey will live on in my heart. Everybody who knew Joey fell in love with him. I had the pleasure of teaching Joey when he first started at REACH and of carrying him in my arms,reading and singing to him and so much more. I will always remember "The car the car" my love. I watched him grow into a fine  young man. I will miss you so very much my Jo Jo xoxo


When you think about Joey you can’t help but smile.  Joey was an amazing young man and I feel very blessed to have had the opportunity to work with him at REACH.  Although his life on this Earth was a short one, Joey touched the lives of many.  He made me want to be a much better teacher and person.  We will miss you Joey.

I was Joey's teacher at Reach School for the last 4 years. He was a sweet, gentle teddy bear in our class who you could make happy just with a song.  He never asked for much, a hug or a smile was all he needed to be happy. Our class and Reach School will not be the same without him.  Heartbroken. Rest peacefully Joey 😢
