1928-2012
June Doyle, peacefully on April 26, 2012 after a lengthy illness in St Lambert, Quebec age 83, born Cardinal, Ontario. Survived by her husband of 52 years Andre, daughter Johanne, predeceased by her son Edward in 1988. Survived by her grandchildren Brian, Lisa, Christine and her sisters Margaret and Dorothy In the words of her favorite poet:
Sweet Remembrance
Let fate do her worst; there are relics of joy,
Bright dreams of the past, which she cannot destroy;
And which come in the night-time of sorrow and care,
To bring back the features that joy used to wear.
Long, long be my heart with such memories filled,
Like the vase in which roses have once been distilled;
You may break, you may ruin the vase, if you will,
But the scent of the roses will hang round it still.
