Kathleen left Jamaica in 1955 to find a new life in Canada. She worked and resided in Montreal, QC, as an orderly at The Jewish Hospital of Hope, and later as a caregiver at many seniors’ residences and in various private healthcare facilities in Montreal, Ottawa, and on the South Shore of Montreal. Kathleen made fast friends of all around her, whether it be at work, in her travels or at the gym. Her radiant smile and friendly demeanour bridged many gaps, and made her approachable to many people, regardless of race, language, religion or age. She was definitely a person who cared about others, fiercely independent, confident and proud of her abilities.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions a private memorial service in chapel will be held in Kathleen’s memory on July 16 2020, at 11 am, at Collins Clarke MacGillvary White, 307, Riverside Drive, Saint-Lambert.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Jewish General Hospital Foundation with special thanks to Dr. Daniel Obrand, and The Division of Cardiac and Vascular surgery and Cardiology, would be greatly appreciated.
