We all lost an incredible man over this past weekend. There are way to many great  memories and stories to list here and there were many. Many of them filled with laughter. I am sad to hear of Mr Sweeney 's passing. I remember many many times  seeing him in the past 50 years and never once was he without his family by his side. He will be enormously missed by all who had the honor and privilege to know him. RIP Mr Sweeney

Most of my memories are from my childhood as distance has kept us apart. I will always remember Uncle Lorne's great laugh and smiling face. Lots of great camping memories. His love for family and life in general, you will be missed by many.

I have many great and fun memories of my Father In Law. This one time I took him to a Stampeders game and we decided to go for a beer at the bar across the street. Some of the players were there after the game. One by one they came up to him and introduced themselves. It had made his day. 

   Some memories were as simple and fun like the time we sat in the sun and drank beer under a Dora sprinkler. 

   A great father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, husband, neighbour and friend to us all.  

   He also gave his time to many volunteer groups over the years including minor football, food banks and blood drives.
