It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Magdalene Willis Joe Mottley on January 20th, 2022 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of Lancelot Ramon Mottley. Cherished mother of Kieron (Chris) and Lance (Pete)/Shar (daughter in law). Devoted grandmother of Justin, Kiana and Alicia. She will be deeply missed by her brothers and sisters (She was the 2nd out of 6 brothers and 8 sisters).
Willis, as she was known by those closest to her, worked tirelessly from a very young age to support her family, first by taking care of her other thirteen siblings when her mother was in hospital, then later to provide for her own family. Willis had a fulfilling career as a registered nurse (including 35 years at the Montreal General) and enjoyed cooking, her handicrafts, as well as spending time outside in her vegetable and flower gardens.
A devote Christian, Willis also enjoyed reading the Bible and listening to religious programming and music. Her faith in God and keeping his commandments was of great comfort to her in this life and will lead her to the promises of her new life to come.
A service by invitation only will be held on Monday January 31st at 3pm.
