Mrs Michelle Denise Noël Garrett

It is with heavy hearts and much difficulty that our family announces the passing of our beloved mother, Michelle (Mitch) Denise Noël Garrett at the age of 98. She was a mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, god-mother, sister, cousin, aunt and friend who left us yesterday afternoon surrounded in peace, love and with family.

For those who knew "Mitch" she was a caring woman with much love for her family, her husband Donald Arthur Garrett (deceased) daughters Leona (Michel) Jo-Anne (André, deceased) and Alyne (deceased) grandchildren François (Nathalie), Liane, David, Naomi (Daniel), Sim (Alex), Adam (Gina), Katherine (Patrick), Ryan and great-grandchildren Kayla, Kyler, Jonah, Gemma, Makayla, Camille, Felix, Tristan (Kassandra), Jamie, Leah, Sarah, Colton, Tyler, Matilda, Lillian, Garrett, Adam, Liam and Dawn.

She had a passion for music. She was a professional musician, a member of the Montreal Women's Symphony, Montreal Symphony Orchestra and had the pleasure of working with many great and talented musicians. Known to bring a smile to her face were the memories of her personal favorites, Itzhak Perlman and Harry Belafonte and Ethel Stark. She also found much joy from her years in her profession as a high school music teacher and band conductor. She held dearly the travels with her husband Don in their airstream trailer and sunny days by the ocean.

She lived a full and contented life and would not want us to mourn her passing but rather celebrate her life and so we will gather .......
