After a long valliant fight, Rick has gone to join his loving wife of 56 years, Mary (predeceased). He will be deeply missed by his daughter Carolyn (Jamie) and his grandsons Riley and Logan. As well he leaves behind his sister, Mary (Chuck), nephew Peter, extended family, his best friend, Gerry, and many other friends that he touched throughout the years.
He is reunited with his parents, John (Jack) Hall and Mary Doyle.
Rick always had a huge love of music. He sang and played guitar almost daily, classic country was his favorite. It always made him proud that he passed that love onto his daughter Carolyn and enjoyed whenever she would sing. He was beyond proud to call Riley and Logan his grandsons and loved watching them grow into the men that they are today. Mamie was the love of his life, "that beautiful redheaded Italian".
He was always up for a good game of golf with good friends. He had a passion for cars. He loved sharing cookies with Dusty. Loved his days at Stonewall. He was a huge fan of his Montreal Canadiens. He was known for his debating. He was a proud member of the Greenfield Park legion.
Rick was very proud to work for both Hymac and, later on, Advanced Dynamics and was very successful at both companies. He always loved telling stories of his many business trips around the world.
"and now I'm glad I didn't know the way it all would end, the way it all would go. Our lives are better left to chance. I could've missed the pain but I'd have had to miss the dance" (Garth Brooks)
Please join us December 10, 2022 at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 94 - located at 205 Empire, Greenfield Park to celebrate Rick's life the way he would like, sharing stories and laughs with family, friends, country music and a drink.
