Robert Sau Yan Loo

Robert was a devoted and much loved husband to Lorraine, a cherished father to Lisa-Marie (David Sciacca) and Brian (Catherine Paquette) and a beloved Yea-Yea (grandfather) to Elisabeth, Charlotte and a much anticipated little grandson “Boule”.

Robert was the son of the late Yet Sun Loo and Yuet Han Hui and the loving older brother to May (Jim Lyle) and James (Mimi Lee). He also leaves a large hole in the hearts of many other family members and friends.

His loyalty to family and friends was unwavering, and his great big smile could light up any room. With a quick wit and a playful sense of humour, he brought laughter and joy to every gathering, filling our hearts with warmth and happiness.

Robert was known for his generous spirit and caring nature. He had an ability to make everyone feel special, always putting the needs of others before his own. One of many examples of his compassion was being a dedicated member of the Lions International, St-Lambert Lions Club for nearly 40 years.

An industrious man, Robert was never one to shy away from hard work. He approached every task with discipline and dedication, inspiring those around him. He had a curious mind and an inquisitive nature that kept him young at heart, always eager to learn and grow.

Robert’s love for his family knew no bounds. He cherished every moment with them and leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and laughter that will be remembered by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In honor of Robert’s life, we invite friends and family to celebrate his memory at Collins Clarke Macgillivray White Funeral Home, Dignity Memorial, 307 Riverside, Saint-Lambert on Tuesday, February 25th from 2 - 4pm & 7 - 9pm, followed by a service on Wednesday, February 26th at 11am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides (www.dogguides.com), in memory of Robert, reflecting his generous spirit and commitment to caring for others. As we say goodbye to our beloved Robert, we hold onto the memories of his laughter, his love, and the lessons he taught us. You will be missed dearly, but your spirit will remain forever in our hearts. Until we meet again.
