Romi leaves behind his sons Richard, William (Margaret), Stephen (Colleen) grandsons Justin (Ashleigh), Ryan, great grandchildren Kayleigh and Hudson, nephews Karl (Brenda), Eric (Ann), Roni (Valeria).
Romi was born in Taurow, Poland and immigrated to Lachine Quebec in 1933.He studied at Central Park School, Lachine, Alexandra School Montreal, The High School of Montreal, McGill University Dawson College and Sir George Williams College now Concordia University earning BSc degree.
Retired from Pratt and Whitney as Manager Manpower Planning and Development. While employed, he
established viable training programs for employees and management. He was a contributor to Air Industries Association’s Human Resource group as Vice Chair.
Romi contribution to the community included giving courses, seminars and workshops on
management and human relations at universities and colleges. He served on a number of educational and management advisory boards. In Montreal, he initiated the founding of CAMAQ, the Committee for Aerospace Manpower Availability in Quebec. This group became a model for cooperative achievements by representatives from education, industry, governments and labour.
He introduced PERT-TIME, project planning method on behalf The Canadian Management Centre of AMA in Montreal and Toronto.
Visitations will be Thursday, June 25th, 2020 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White, 307 Promenade Riverside, St-Lambert Quebec J4P 1A7.
