My husband and I invited Sandra – then in her sixties - one summer to accompany us to the Christian Family Camp Livingstone in the Eastern Townships near Magog. We will never forget her delight with her first camp experience ever! She enjoyed having so many people around, delicious food served, easy craft activities, swimming in the lake and paddleboat rides. And Chapel time twice a day. What stands out for me is her joy when singing wholeheartedly, hands raised, with 90 other campers of all ages “Yes Lord! Yes Lord! Yes, yes Lord!”! We took her with us several years after that.

I knew Sandra through Greenfield Park Baptist Church.

Sandra, you left us just before spring
There is no winter without a spring
And no spring without a winter
Beyond the dark horizon
Our hearts will once more sing...
For though you have left us for a while
And have only gone away
Your love and memories stay with us
And comfort us each day.

My hope for you I pray
Out of this restless, care worn world
You find yourself into a brighter day

Love in memory, John

Every Sunday in Church Sandra and I sat in the same row for many years. Sandra always had something to tell me that was humorous to make me laugh, you will be missed. My condolences to Karen and Ethan.

Sandra was a lovely lady. She was always the first person in the sanctuary on Sunday and it was a such joy to look out from the stage and see her. She will be missed.

We’re so grateful that Sandra was part of our wedding memories, and it was wonderful to get to know her more over Christmas pot luck a couple years ago. We’ll remember her as vibrant, articulate, and so loving of her family.
