10 years has gone by so slowly yet so fast......miss you always Mamasita.

I didn't forget mamasita, how could I ever?  Miss you always.

Five years ago today, our family was changed forever.  there is not a day that goes by that I don't think of you.  No phone calls but your voice still clear. No advice but hopes of making you proud. No Grandma at major milestones and events but always to be sure to tell Madison you would be proud.

Although the heartache is still strong, the tears are less (except those out of the blue moments!!) and the smiles of memories are more.

Miss you always Mamasita.

I found this by accident, it hit me like a ton of bricks, only new you and Sisto for a short time, you were good people and I feel your loss my condolences to the family.

Miss you always.....especially as I watch Madison grow without you here to see it.

4 years and I miss you so much. You are a true mom to me. How many times have I wished I could still talk to you and ask you about being a mom and a wife. 10 years was not long enough to be with you yet I cherish every minute of it.

I wish Madison could have known you, but Lisa and I will make sure she never forgets.

It is hard to believe how quickly, yet how painfully slow 4 years has come and gone. It has not gotten any easier, just different. 

So many times we speak of you and so many smiles abound. But there are also tears.... tears of sadness, tears of incomprehension, and even tears of joy.

I am greatful that i still remember your voice and your laughter and hope that i will never forget.

Two years ago, our lives, our families and our hearts changed forever. What seems like an eternity also seems as just yesterday..... 

Mamasita, I promised that Madison would have you in her heart forever just as I have always had Grandma Jean in mine even though she passed when I was just as young....we tell her about you and show your picture all the time and as she grows, I'm sure she will.  

I also promised to take better care and be a better person to myself and my family....I haven't quite done that as best I could or should, but I will continue to work on it and big change, is coming.

It has been a rough day......the pain is as hard today as it was last year and every day since.  We love and miss you and hope that you are at peace.

Wendy my sis that I miss.  It has been one year ago today that God took you away. I never got to say Good Bye. But I will never know why you had to Die. I think of you every day with a pain in my heart that won't go away. I have tried to live every day like it was a bad dream that would go away. I pray to God  every night, That you are happy where you are with no pain. I ask  God to let you look down on all the family you left behind.

Hi Mamasita, I wanted to wish you a Happy New Year.  Life is no longer the same without you here but we are trying to get some sort of 'normal'.  It's still hard to think that we will never see you again and that Madison won't run to you screaming Grandma.....hoping that 2013 will be more peaceful for all of us.  Love you always.

There is a whole heck of a lot of snow up north!!  The power is out too...but you know it, dad has the generator going and plugged to the television.  It's hard to explain to Madison not being able to turn the lights on but tv working!! Hey mamasita, i'm pretty sure you would have been proud of us yesterday....most of whom counted that could come, made it to celebrate. I will never forget the fond memories of my favorite aunt. One I do cherish, is whenever I visited "Up North" on vacation, she would always go out of her way to make crostata for me. It made every visit even more special. She is missed, but will live forever in our hearts and minds.

IM MEMORY OF WENDY..

The Family Tree That Lives In Our Hearts Has Grown Another Branch... :(

Our Sister Wendy's branch has fallen from our tree, one branch falls... the whole tree now weeps
We lost a much loved branch from our tree. She held on with the strength and with a fight for as long as she could.
She fought a good fight trying not to fall from our tree...we prayed and cheered for her to ...win but sadly she grew too weak to fight anymore...
We saw her fight before, we witnessed her courage coming back from previous battles with the will not to fall from our tree...
Her branch represented a much loved sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, friend and a wife to her wonderful husband... She said some REALLY GREAT things about him behind his back!! ;) ...together they shared a life of love that is a true love story that stood the trials of time...for better, for worse they faced it all... Their love saw them through and kept them together to her end... She told me recently she could not imagine her life without him "He takes such good care of me" she said... 
I am heartbroken for him...and grateful to him for taking such good care of my sister on the days when she was unable to take care of herself... "Thank you Sisto" 

Her branch has fallen but it's not gone... her branch gave us more branches on our Family Tree.. She brought Her husband to our tree and together they added branches ... their children, grand children as well as her husband remain branches on our tree..
We will support these branches she brought to our tree in this time of loss, 
with that her Branch will never be forgotten....

She has now become a new branch on another Family Tree... Remember her strengths, Love her memory and keep her in our Hearts…
Our memories will provide the bond for her branch to be forever on the The Family Tree That Lives in Our Hearts.... 
We will see, hold and talk to her again... but not until our branch falls too...
….she has gone from our tree to be with the other branches we have lost over time .

After seeing my mom often in 2011,I appreciated her more and more.  My mom did not change but I did. As I got older and wiser, I realized what an extraordinary person she was. How does a daughter begin to thank her mother for Life urself? For the love,the patience and just plain hard work That goes into raising a child?  From running after a toddler, understanding a moody teen-ager, for tolerating a college student who knew everything? How does a grown woman thank her mother for continuing to be a mother? For being ready with advice(when asked) or remaining silent when mots appreciated? For not sarong "I told you so" when she could of a dozen times? For being essentially herself: loving,thoughtful,patient and forgiving?  How do you say thank you? How sad that I am unable to speak these words in her presence.  I don't know how,dear God,except to ask you to bless her as richly as she deserves and to help me live up to the example she has set.  I pray that I will look as good in the eyes of my children as my mother looks in mine.

I think of Wendy often these days, my ten year old daughter Kashmere has a very familiar look that so reminds me of her. Although only one year older than me she she was so responsible. She took an interest in my art and sent a letter to Magic Tom, a TV show for children that was filmed in Montreal. It was only years later that it occurred to me that we were only 8 and 9 years old yet Wendy managed to get me and my box of clay dinosaurs to the station several miles and buses away. I could not imagine sending her look alike niece on such an excursion but that was Wendy. She was a great older sister and without her encouragement and support I wouldn't have the career I have today. I will miss her very much.
