Mitch is survived by his son, Mike Schain; daughter-in-law, Vickie Schain; sister, Shirley Schain; granddaughter, Ariana (Ross) Noory and grandson Gavin Schain. He was preceded in death by his father Adolph Schain and mother Dorothy Schain.
Mitch was graduate of Lindbergh High School. After high school Mitch entered United States Army and proudly served during the Vietnam era. After completing his service he followed in his father's footsteps joining Pipefitters Local 562. Mitch was a hard worker, providing and caring for his son Mike. Outside of work he loved the outdoors and especially going to the Lake camping and fishing with his parents. Mitch also loved, on great days, getting out on his motorcycle feeling the sun on his face and wind going by. Another passion for Mitch was swing dancing. He loved going to various swing dances offered by groups and clubs in the area. Mitch was a Cardinal fan through and through, in the good times and the bad.
The greatest passion of all for Mitch was his love for his son Mike and the family Mike has created. They meant everything to him. Mike was not only his son, but in Mike's adult years, a best friend to Mitch. They not only shared their work as Mike joined Local 562, but shared many of the same passions, like going to the Lake and riding motorcycles.
