Unfortunately I was unable to attend.  Drew is a amazing person.  He knew everyone's name and always a welcoming soul.  He was so happy he found the love of his life and so proud of his family.

Andrew certainly was a Lindbergh student who stood out in a crowd.  He was accepted by all groups.  Andrew had a very unique personality and wardrobe with a style all his own! A boy who wore many hats literally. A smile that lit up a room. As I looked through the pictures of his life after high school it looked like his zest for life continued. It's like he had one speed, high, I am glad he enjoyed the ride. He made an impact on many people he touched along the way. Toni and Lynn you raised a fine young man and Aby my heart aches for you all. To Izzy you chose well. May you find peace knowing you have a part of him in your son.
To all who knew Andrew he was a gift, I am sorry he was taken so soon.

The only man who waited in line to dance with the groom at our wedding! Drew will be truly missed.  A great man, husband, and father. A great friend. Always made me feel welcome and made me smile and laugh.  My most heartfelt sympathies to Lizi, Maverick, Abby, Mr. and Mrs. Ledbetter.  I will pray for you to find strength and comfort during this most difficult of times. 

Rest in peace, Drew. I am forever grateful to have known you. 

I looked up to Drew. He was the older, cooler guy at Lindbergh to me. He was handsome and had an amazing smile! He had one of those voices that you wanted to listen to. He was a light and a joy to be around, always. 

Andrew worked for me at Jared. He was the one man in a group of ladies. He loved that. Out of all of us, he was definitely the snazziest dresser. Andrew took pride in being best dressed. In our many conversations, he told me about his absolute love for his "kick ass" wife and his loving family. I never met a man who adored his wife more than Andrew did Lizzi. And when they had Maverick, he was such a proud father. 
Andrew was by far the stinky-ist employee Jared ever had. And he was so proud of it! He called it "The Ledbetter Curse". It was passed down from his grandfather to his father and to him. And, strangely, he hoped his son had inherited it. He used to relish in the idea of getting Lizzi with the father son combination. 
Andrew was a special man. I am proud to have called him my friend. I loved him like a brother. He was truly one of a kind. I know he knew that he touched many people's lives. But, he never seemed to know how important he was to so many. While he was ever so proud when anyone thought he was the manager because he was so dang dapper, he was always the consummate gentleman with all the women in the store. 
My heart breaks with the loss of him. Especially for Lizzi, Maverick and his family.
I will miss Andrew forever.

Andrew was on the Sperreng Tattler newspaper with me in 7th grade, where he called me “Waldo” because of my big glasses. But the way he said it made me so excited that “this cool, popular kid knows me”!

After I stopped playing football and fell out of favor with the jocks, we were in choir together and I was jealous of how Andrew was part of every clique in high school. He transcended cliques; they didn’t define him and everyone was happy to have him in their’s; and didn’t mind sharing him with the other cliques. It was like we all knew “there was enough Ledbetter for everyone”, and yet now is the only time we wish we could have more of him.

Andrew was a friend who never made anyone feel bad, and accepted everyone for the uniqueness and differences that they brought to his life. We are all richer for knowing him and I pray that I can instill the Ledbetter-style of inclusiveness in my 3yo son as he grows up. I will certainly try to foster his attributes of inclusion to live-on in my actions.

I am sorry, I never told him how cool he made me feel just for knowing him and for being liked by him.

Rest In Peace, brother.

To his parents/family: Thank you for raising an exceptional son. And I am so sorry for your loss. We may never know the “x factors” in our lives that make us who we are, propel us to success, and/or help us cope along the way. I know Andrew was that for so many at Lindbergh and I’m sure far beyond. May his love and light shine on in each one of us, who were lucky enough to have been blessed with his presence on this earth.
