Beloved husband for over 65 years of Dolores Chivetta (nee Krekeler); dear father of A.J. (Tracy), Vicki (Chris) Mower, Chris (Anne Marie) Chivetta, and the late Sarah and Clement Chivetta; dear grandfather of Anthony, and Teddy Chivetta, Sara (Foster) Glenn, Emily (Reed) Kennedy, Andrew (Mary) Mower, Grace Mower, Amy (Dan) Bohac, Mary and Christopher (Varsha) Chivetta; dear great-grandfather of Leo, Arthur, Laurel, and Cecilia; dear brother of Dennis (Mary Lee), Antoinette, and John; our dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend to many.
After graduating from Washington University and serving in the United States Air Force, Tony co-founded Hastings+Chivetta Architects with his classmate, Bryce Hastings. For over 40 years, Tony designed corporate, municipal, retail, and education projects across the nation. He inspired generations of architects with his mentorship and keen sense of detail and design. His innovative concepts for grocery store and athletic facility design set new standards, which continue to lead the industry today.
Services: A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, March 10, at Our Lady of the Pillar Catholic Church, 401 S. Lindbergh Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63131, at 10:00 am. Private Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
