Arline Sherlin Kolons

Beloved wife of the late Allen Kolons; dear mother and mother-in-law of Norman (Nancy) Kolons, Jay Kolons, Shelly (John) Van Doren and Sharon (Brent) Newman; dear grandmother of Brett (Abbi), Blake, Abygail and Jordan; dear sister of Florene Cookie Meyer. Our dear aunt, cousin and friend.

Sunday nights were her favorite time to cook for her family and then gather at the dining room table sharing stories and laughs over her brisket, kasha and shells and famous matzah ball soup. She was the perfect mother-in-law, welcoming each spouse as if they were her own child. She spent time playing mahjong and having lunch with her friends. A weekend evening wouldn't have been complete without beating her grandchildren at Uno. Her greatest achievement was catching the largest trout in the family- a 6-lb lunker that was the envy of her husband Allen. After her kids were grown, for many years Arline loved working at The Painted Pony and Lewis of London baby furniture stores as she loved children and having a part-time job to keep her busy and active.
