Barbara was a beloved sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dear friend to many. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Wayne Pinkley, and her son, Ronald Ray Pinkley Jr. Though their loss left an immeasurable emptiness in her heart, Barbara carried their love with her throughout the rest of her life.
She is survived by her daughters, Angela Pinkley, fiancé Terry Simo, and Charlotte Morton, husband Chuck Morton; and her grandchildren, Brianna Hemmer-Skiles, Kristianna Conroy, Cynthia Pinkley, and Kurtis Pinkley. She was a cherished great-grandmother to Zaidyn, Jaxtyn, and Izaiah Hemmer, and Kolton, Klara, and Klinton Conroy; dear sister of Norma (Mike) Webb and close sister-in-law and best friend of Pam Pinkley; she was preceded in death by her three brothers Charlie Pate Sr. (Wanda), Billy Pate Sr. (Joann) and James Paul Pate Jr. (Debbie).
Barbara was a strong, amazing, and wonderfully silly woman who was truly full of life. She had a heart for helping others and was the kind of person who would go out of her way to do something for someone else, often without ever expecting anything in return. She was a proud member of the Ladies Auxiliary and found joy in being there for the people around her.
Barbara was an all-time St. Louis Cardinals fan, and her love for the game was something she carried proudly. She also loved country music and all the little things that made life worth celebrating. Her laughter, silliness, strength, and generous heart will forever be remembered by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Barbara was taken from this world far too soon, but the love she gave will continue through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, and friends. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing that she is reunited with those she loved and is watching over all of us from above.
Visitation and funeral services will be held at Hoffmeister South County Chapel at 11:00 a.m., followed by services at Jefferson Barracks at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7th, 2026.
In honor of Barbara and her lifelong love of the St. Louis Cardinals, family and friends are lovingly asked to wear Cardinals attire or something representing the Cardinals when attending her services.
Barbara may no longer be here to laugh with us, sing along to country music, cheer for her Cardinals, or lend a helping hand—but her memory will live on in every person she loved and every life she touched.
Forever in our hearts Barbie 🪽💕
