Bob was special one of a kind.  He was the best  brother a person could have.
The world was a better place with Bob in it.

Dear Debbie and family:  Bobby was very special and beloved by everyone.  I still remember talking with him way back in our college years about a big marketing assignment I was working on, and he offered some great suggestions that were so helpful!  That was Bob--both helpful and intellectual.  Our earliest class reunions were so fun and all perfectly organized by Bob.  And seeing Bob for the first time as an usher at a Cards game was just the BEST!  We were SO impressed that our Bonne Terre Bob Murray was a "big-time" St. Louis Cardinals usher! We know he made a plethora of friends during his years of ushering.  Most importantly, in talking with Bob, you knew right away how much he loved and adored his family!  Family and friends were SO important to Bob, and he was SO important to us.  Debbie, I'm extremely sad that I was unable to accompany Bill to the funeral home yesterday, but I want you to know that you and all of your family are in our prayers for peace and comfort during this difficult time.  Love and Blessings to all.

My time spent at work with Bob could be tumultuous at times, I could always count on him to bring a calm perspective to the situation. Really enjoyed talking Cardinals with him. There sure were some great teams during those days. My condolences to his family. Bob was described by all who knew him as a great guy, and I agree wholeheartedly. Rest in peace Bob.

Jake&Mo:  This is your cousin Becky from B.T.  Your father was part of my life going back to early childhood.  When he taught at the B.T.Junior High  he lived with us and your cousins would meet him after class. Your Aunt Linda&Uncle Dick gave him his first car, a VW Bug as he attended Columbia University .
Our Great Grandmother in Maryland paid for his tuition wanting him to succeed in live.
He was like a son to my parents. 
I remember when Uncle Dick and cousin David took him on a canoe trip down the Big River they were caught in a overhead tornado.  The only refuge was to seek shelter under the canoe and that saved their lives. 
Your Father became a success in life&business.   He raised his children to be responsible and respectful.   After Aunt Linda passed away you both carried her casket at the cementary, I will always remember that.
The gates of Heaven have opened for your Father.

To Bob’s family, my sincere condolences. Bob was a friend from our childhood, through college (as fraternity brothers) and over the last few years, as we renewed our friendship. A true friend and brother and a wonderful individual. We’ll all really miss him.
