Carol was the beloved daughter of the late Marie Post and James Coats. Loving wife of the late Bennie Shoemaker. Cherished mother of Greg (Pam) Shoemaker. Loving grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many.
Carol was a gifted stylist whose passion was bringing out the unique beauty in everyone's hair. She poured her heart into her craft, taking great pride in making everyone shine.

Visitation will be held at Hoffmeister South County Chapel 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis MO 63125 on Sunday September 20, 2026 from 2 to 6 p.m.
Interment will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery on Monday September 21, 2026 at 11 a.m. Please be at the funeral home no later than 10 a.m.
