Charles Webb Taylor passed away peacefully on Monday, August 3, 2026, at the age of 57. Chuck was a loving father, brother, son, uncle, friend, and neighbor. He was born on January 18, 1969, in Alexandria, Virginia, to Frank Webb and Charlotte Ann Taylor. On the bicentennial in 1976, his family moved to St. Louis and settled in Creve Coeur. He graduated from Parkway North High School in 1987. He studied political science at the University of Missouri and went on to earn a law degree from Washington University in St. Louis in 1994. During law school, he received the Gold Award as the president of the Pro Bono Law Society. He started his career in the public defender office in Cape Girardeau. After practicing for nine years, he opened his own law firm in St. Charles, Missouri. Driven by a strong sense of integrity, he was a devoted attorney in the areas of bankruptcy, traffic, criminal, divorce, and estate planning for 32 years. He impacted many lives and truly cared for his clients.
Chuck married Julie Louise Connors in 1995, and they raised four children together. He was a loving father, always there to offer guidance, support, and laughter. He cherished time with his family, playing guitar, and watching Cardinals games and late-night movies. He had an exceptional talent for storytelling and would fondly reminisce on memories performing magic shows with his dad, playing in the Insomniacs rock and roll band with his friends, and learning the ropes from his two older sisters. He was extremely proud of his four kids and never missed a chance to tell them so and brag about them to others.
Chuck lived to the fullest, and his excitement for life was infectious. He loved watching the sunset, taking riverboat cruises, and engaging others in lively conversation. He leaves behind a legacy of generosity, kindness, and enthusiasm. He faced his illness with bravery and drew strength from prayer.
