My condolences to Chris' family. Chris was a wonderful student--a delight to have in class. He was always such a nice person and a great role model for the other students in school. How I would have loved to have had a whole classroom full of students just like him. His teachers all thought so...
When I ran into him at QT I saw that he had become just that sort of adult--welcoming, warm, polite, and obviously hard-working...just like he had been in class. He had grown into a lovely man. How sorry I was to hear of his passing. He will be missed.

Chris,
The Class of '91 has lost a true friend. You never met a stranger and you never turned away a friend. You will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to make you acquaintance. I have never met a person who had impacted so many people in a way of great joy and happiness. You were always a smiling face, welcoming many to where ever you were! Be it Hancock, McDonald's, or multiple QT locations...they were all better places with you there! Stay close to us...as we are the ones that are at a loss now...I will think of your smile often...peace my friend.

About 7 years ago, i knew a man named Alvin Ahrens he had a history of throat cancer, i believe. Al and I went together quite a while but i never met any of his family. I wondered, when i saw this obituary for Christopher, if he was a son or grandson of My friend Alvin Ahrens, who died about 2 years ago, also from cancer. Please tell me. Al had often mentioned someone in his family named Christopher and he also had a son who lived in Australia. I thought Christopher was a school teacher. I could be wrong because he had a big family. Family or not, please know I am sad to hear of your Christopher's death. Reading the guestbook tells me Christopher was a very well liked man.

I would love to talk about all of the memories we had together, but I'm sure most of them would be deemed to inappropriate for this forum. So all I can say is that man we had a lot of fun at work together. All the way back to the 613 days. Sorry you had to leave us so soon Chris. Knowing you there would have been many more stories I couldn't share in our future. May you find peace and happiness.

You are an amazing person. You had a wonderful heart and a even better soul. I am blessed to have worked with you for my frst real job. You saw something in me I dont even think I see in myself. Cancer is horrible and I am so sorry that you had to endure that at the end. I am comforted knowing you are not in pain. I only hope all your loved ones can find comfort also. I just lost my mom to cancer in March. She was 54. Find her in heaven Chris and I can asure you she will take care of you and you of her. To Chris's mom....I have never seen a son love his mother like he did you. Please find peace in knowing you were always there for him and he will be watching over all of us. God bless and rest in peace Chris. I love you! You are one amazing angel.
