Christopher Robert Brockmeier

Chris married his loving husband, Gerald “Jerry” Dickneite, on September 19, 2018. Chris often said that he loved his life, and he truly lived it surrounded by the people and things that brought him joy. He cherished time with his family and friends, especially his beloved grandchildren, who always brought a smile to his face.

Chris had a passion for travel, particularly trips to the beach, which fondly reminded him of childhood vacations to Pensacola with his parents and brothers. Wherever he went, he was often accompanied by a Stephen King novel and his knitting gear. He also shared a special bond with Lola, his rescue dog and faithful companion. Chris was dedicated to helping others and generously gave his time volunteering with DOORWAYS, a nonprofit organization that assists individuals experiencing homelessness.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Helen Brockmeier, and his brother, Patrick G. Brockmeier.

Chris is survived by his loving husband, Gerald “Jerry” Dickneite, and their rescue dog, Lola; his children, Greg (Kara) Brockmeier of Chesterfield, Missouri, Anna (Matt) Lambert of St. Peters, Missouri, and Joe Brockmeier and his partner Liz Mabe; and his cherished grandchildren, Peter, Caroline, Connor, Frank, Madelyn, and Taylor. He is also survived by his siblings, Tim (Carmen) Brockmeier of Columbia, Missouri, John (Sue) Brockmeier of St. Charles, Missouri, and Mike (Angie) Brockmeier of Ballwin, Missouri, along with many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Chris will be remembered for his warm heart, his love of family, and the joy he found in life’s simple pleasures. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 10:00 am at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church, 3864 Flad Ave, St. Louis, MO 63110.
