Daniel Ivan Scher passed away on November 29, 2025, at the age of 79. Dan was born on January 8, 1946, in Newark, NJ. He spent most of his life raising his family in Livingston and Chester, NJ. He moved to Saint Louis in 2010 to be closer to his daughter and grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughter Ashley Katcher (Jeremy) and his two sons, Gregory Scher (Suzanne) and Bradford Scher. Dan was also a proud grandfather to his 3 grandchildren, Eliza and Liam Katcher and Jack Scher.
Dan had an avid interest in reading and social justice. However, his greatest joy was doting on his children and grandchildren.
He will be greatly missed.
